MEET THE FOUNDERS - SILVIA CHENG SHU
Hey, I’m Silvia. My passion for cars started as a Teenager with Initial D! I got very deep into the JDM car culture that has never left me. That deep love for classic Japanese sports cars stayed with me all the way into my professional life.
After graduating and starting my career, I finally fulfilled my childhood dream and bought my first JDM car: a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT.
However, I quickly ran into a major challenge. Unlike overseas markets, the classic JDM car culture in China is relatively niche because many of these cars at the time were simply not made for the Chinese market, and China has strict import controls on old vehicles. Further to this, genuine classic OEM parts were already extremely scarce from overseas and non existent inside of China.
My journey into parts reproduction began with a simple but frustrating problem. I was looking everywhere for brand-new door weather strips for my 3000GT, yet no suppliers or retailers had them in stock.
At that moment, I realized a crucial truth: if I, as an owner, could not find these essential parts, I could see countless other global 3000GT enthusiasts must be facing the exact same dilemma.
Driven by my passion for preserving these iconic cars, I decided to take action. In 2020, I produced my first batch of reproduced 3000GT parts.
The quality and accuracy were well-received within the global 3000GT community, and I gained tremendous positive feedback and support from fellow car owners.
Encouraged by the community’s response, I continued expanding my reproduction lineup. I went on to manufacture more commonly worn exterior components, including top hatch strips and lower hatch strips, filling the long-standing parts shortage for the 3000GT platform. What started as a personal solution for my own classic car soon grew into a dedicated mission to help every classic JDM owner keep their vehicle in perfect, original condition.
In 2023, I expanded my classic car collection with a Nissan Silvia S15. Owning this iconic JDM coupe allowed me to connect with a large community of S13, S14 and S15 enthusiasts, immersing myself deeper into the Silvia scene. During this journey, I've connected with many other enthusiasts and worked together to deepen ties within the communities.
Personally, I am also an owner of a Mitsubishi Evolution 4 and a Subaru GC8. I know first hand how demanding restoring classic JDM vehicles can be — it is extremely time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly. This genuine experience fuels my true passion for what I do. For me, this business is far more than just commerce. It is my sincere mission to support and sustain JDM culture, preserve these legendary vehicles, and bring the authentic spirit of JDM back to the modern automotive world.
I'm so happy to expand further across all JDM with our team in Reflekt where we can expand and improve upon our mission to help bring perfectly retooled OEM spec parts back to the communities and keep these cars running perfectly for the future so that people never forget the heritage and history of some of the most iconic cars ever built.
