When we first decided to join forces to create Reflekt, the one thing we promised each other was that we were going to build an entirely different type of company to the one we had experienced when repairing and modifying our cars.
AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY FATIGUE..
We were extremely tired of fake or low quality replacement parts, scams on eBay, poor customer service from companies that do not take their business seriously and treat it more like a stressful hobby than a serious company and are impossible to contact or get professional support.
THE ADVANTAGE OF LOCATION
Our huge advantage as a team is that we are a group of internationally minded people from the England, Hong Kong, Tokyo and China with our HQ based in Hong Kong we have rapid access to China, speak Chinese, Japanese and English to a native level and able to excel at working with automotive factories locally, in their native language and at the same time holding the key native languages to communicate to our core customer base natively and truly understand their needs.
CROWDFUND WITHOUT THE RISK
Our crowdfund system for example, is not set up like a Kickstarter where a project may fail and you lose your deposit. We decided for very rare parts that need to find more buyers to make sense, to have the community drop a small deposit as a refundable expression of interest. This would secure their spot in a future production and once we have the numbers we would begin the R&D and production of that said part. However for this system we decided it was completely fair for the small deposits to be held and if the project could not reach maturity the community would be refunded in full with no risk to them apart from the trust in us.
PRE-ORDERS WITHOUT THE RISK
Further to the crowdfund system, we have many parts already in development we decided we could fund and risk by ourselves completely. For this system we generated a pre-order product category, allowing the community to buy now at a discount and wait for us to finish production and launch. For those patient car owners, this system is also entirely risk free as our policy for this is to simply refund the full amount if we fail to launch the project or cancel it due to unforseen issues. Luckily for Reflekt we have enough reserves to completely cover all risk of projects failing and so far in the life of Silvia beforehand at CS-Revival and us, we have not yet once failed any pre-launch product concept.
THE CONCLUSION TO REFLEKT
We decided we could solve all of the above to a level unlike other competitors and create Reflekt as a company that offers as close to perfect reproduction of the most vital parts for the communities World-wide at the highest quality possible also offer safe transparent payment and shipping systems. Finally, the MOST important factor for us was to make sure our company offers direct, fast and excellent customer service to the community. Truly service and product quality we have always wished was available before we started Reflekt.
Reflekt Engineering is scaling up sustainably, all of us at Director level are running hardcore companies outside of Automotive that interlink with Reflekt and provide support as we scale. No overwhelmed customer service, no ignoring customers for weeks or running off when a product launch is problematic. These are issues we've handled now for over a decade in our other businesses and I would say successfully handled.
